UAG Chairman Juan Sartori and CEO Oscar Costa visited the harvesting of our rice production. This is the first harvesting of rice in the history of UAG.
We have started the harvesting of rice at our farm San Francisco and will continue at our other properties. We are carrying out the work in a joined effort with 12 farm workers and are using our privately owned machinery. This way we can optimize our efficiency and realize the harvesting in the best possible way. In San Francisco we will harvest 490 hectares of rice which will take us approximately 3 weeks and we are aiming at 4.400.000 kilos of rice at this property. Once harvested the rice is taken to our industrial plant where it is dried, stored and will wait for the commercialization decision.
